The light seems to draw me in
But the darkness catches my eye
And I think
Why not play for a while
The light wanders my way
As if saying "come in, come in"
And I think
No, it burns my skin
The light burns in the coal
As if taking my darkness from me
And I think
Why, I do not want to see
The light dims down, far away
As if saying "I give up"
And I think in the darkness (all alone)
Fighting with the light was much more fun
Because now I sit here all alone
