Description
This was a birthday gift for a very good and very special friend of mine. The swag lamp itself is very simple compared to my other lamp builds but I really like it. The space invaders are made of a thinner tissue so light can spill through it better. As always I used several coats of a spray lacquer to help reinforce the paper. The paper pieces started as 5cm square sheets and always I used the Sonobe fold for each piece.Related content

You're a great person and a good artist. Your Space Attackers lamp is the best thing I've seen on dA for a long time. I think you're the reason dA isn't totally in the shitter. Your camera angles are are very inventive and you keep up your good work and you're gonna make the whole internet a better place.

Haha thanks Le. I don't use anything special. It's just the spray lacquer you can find at Michael's for like $12. I use the gloss to give it shine and I usually apply about 3-4 coats. I find applying it in warmer weather makes it best because of how fast it will dry. You don't have to worry about any running of the lacquer as well.
