This voodoo mask should be an offering for getting the protection of a Loa ghost.The only problem was that it is easy to offend these spirits with false gifts.
And this style of art didn´t please the supernatural being at all. Not a little bit.
So that the ghost never had to see it on anyone, he has enchanted the mask.
When someone puts on the mask, that person becomes invisible with her.
That sounds like a nize spy feature, but it has an unfortunate disadvantage:
You can´t decide when you take it off. The mask stick on your face until it falls off.
If you have luck you can remove it after some minutes or maybe hours.
If you are not blessed with luck, you become a reason why people believe in ghosts.
Of course others can hear your voice, but without your presence that will end strange.
This mask brought many patients to psychiatric hospitals who thought they hear voices.
After some months of invisibility it seems funny to haunt people as a ghost of a pirate captain.
It is a great gadget for a undercover mission! But don´t plan photo shootings in the next time.
