well his work pertaining to "prestimulus response" and with other labs providing confirmation of "Go/No Go prestimulus" finds precognition in 40% of the population.
Dr. May's work finds that there is a galvanic skin response prior to stimuli by as much as eight seconds, to a minimum of 2 seconds...
So, what if there was someone who was 100% conscious and aware, precognitively? Someone whose mind and body is working and reacting in a frame of time and instant before what the rest of us call "Now".
Imagine time a having a funnel shape. The big end is the future with all of its infinite possibility, but as we approach "Now" those probabilities begin to collapse. this leaves us with only one present, only one past, and only one universe.
A person with a precognitive consciousness, would in effect, be choosing their future - collapsing future probability waves to a desired outcome through observation.
We have a person who can dodge bullets -not because they are Faster than the bullet- because they are faster than the shooter.
unlike normal combat analysis, anticipation, and predicition: such a person would not need to know the attack was coming, they wouldn't have to see the enemy.
This precog would dodge bullets out of an intuitive knowledge of the future, and choosing the optimal outcome.
Work by Dr. Stewart Hammerhof and Sir Rodger Penrose, on ORCH-OR theory, believes that consciousness may have a quantum mechanical element occurring in microtuble structures.
I believe that if this theory is correct, it may be possible for the human mind to interact with quantum weirdness: Non-locality, information traveling to the past, observer dependence, and possibly quantum teleportation.
I think that it is time to RE-ENVISION a character like "The Shadow" for today. Tone down the psychic power to just precognition, telepathy, mind probing, object reading, psychic invisibility, psychic assault, and a Bruce lee equivalent ninjutsu master.
