Description
a drawing of the super tall birch tree that lives next to our apartment, drawn with reference, just for practice/stress relief.
this is based on the view of the tree from our five-storey-high bedroom window on a sunny winter morning, which is narrow because the curtains are usually only slightly open. my first view of this tree in the morning says a lot about what kind of day it’s going to be. weather has a massive impact on my emotional state

I wonder if it would look better without it, though. Have you tried something using the CMYK channels instead of the usual RGB?

i haven't! you mean that we get a yellow/magenta edge instead of red/cyan?

Yeah, something that would simulate the registration error on an offset printing. Kind of like an old magazine.
But you would shift three channels, not just two. And the overall effect would be different, because the RGB system is an additive color model and the CMYK is a subtractive color model, which means that combined, the colors tend to black rather than white.
It may or may not look good, though. It's been a long while since I did that. But I'm sure that you could do something waaaay better than what I could.
