Oh well... I give up!This was originally a project to see if I could create my own interpretation of an anime character using Aiko3. In this case, I was working on Battle Angel Alita. However, Aiko3 just doesn't have enough head morph targets to create Alita's face. I was going to scrap this project, but it made a pretty strong image anyway, so, I decided to go ahead an share it with everyone.

I feel there is somethign wrong with the angel's face, I'm not so sure what it is but I hope you can tell me what I might be seeing wrong here. I like the body the suit reminds me of the suits in Neon Guenisis except more advanced and the concept of a "rusted angel."

Looks good to me. What would really be nice here would be a bump map for all of the black lines and small holes.... also if you made the mechanical wings

I believe is is called paris hair. It is/was a freebie on renderosity. It has been heavily scaled/morphed though.

Wow. This is absolutely fantastic! As you could probably tell from my avatar, I love Alita, so I'm really pleased to see a fainthful rendition of her in 3D, and so well done, too! I've gotta add this to my favourites. I'm no 3D animator, but this lookes damn near perfect. The pose and shine on her Bezerker body's excellent. And it really does look like Alita.

I really love the texture you did on Gally/Alita. I was getting ready to do one for myself, and see the pointlessness of trying to reinvent the wheel! Gally is one of my favs of all time and you did a bang-up version.
When I did Major Motoko Kusanagi, I had to keep one thing upermost in my mind--Anime/Manga is a STYLE like impressionism, and CGI will not look exactly like the original,nor should it.
Your version is truely superb. I just wish the bump map had worked out as you envisioned it to do. Great job in any event! Kudos!

Oooooo... I've always wanted to do Motoko Kusanagi as a CGI piece. I have her character based on the p4fem, but the model suffers from the same problems as the p4fem...
