Description This Spirit Work box is made from a reclaimed antique Cedar sewing box that is beautifully made and beautifully lined with fabric, but just needed some love and exterior refinishing. The wood turned out gorgeous after I sanded it, oiled it, and gave it a good coat of beeswax with my homemade wood balm. I pyrographed the lid with a memento mori design inspired by old tombstones – the negative black space is all pyrographed making the white images raised.

The skull and plant reminds me of the green man. Was the tome stone in england , a shallow carving , because I may have seen it and it inspired something similar with me. A skull with a little plant popping out the head and the plant turning into different plants if you know what I mean >_<

I based it off the one in England you're thinking of and also a few gravestones in New England. It's very tree of life or world treeish - kinda like a greenman psychopomp.
