Tell me I'm not alone?Let me start by saying so that, I don't mind if you have a tumblr. I don't mind if you like that place. I don't even mind if you send me a link(s) to your and other tumblrs once in a while if you know of something epic that ended up there and I should see it.
It's fine.
What I'm about sick and tired of is a large amount of members on dA acting like it's the greatest damn thing since sliced bread, just like with FB, and trying to recruit everyone here on this site to make a tumblr. Guess what? I'm not interested in making one, not at all. I won't make one. I don't have to have one because it's the "new thing" on the internet. It's just a jazzed up version of Facebook any way.
And I shouldn't have to follow links posted to your deviantART account EVERY DAMN DAY to your TUMBLR account and shift through over 9000 written memes dealing with what's on your Ipod, celebrity photos, chain mail copypasta, overkilled jokes and thirty embedded videos post to post to find worthwhile pics and writing (that are going to get stolen, by the way, have fun!) I usually find that the lame copypasta shit is piled up for three pages long before I find that drawing written about over on dA. My friends call this site "shit roller" since it seems to be that.
I had even had a hint of an interest before, maybe a year ago or that, before it festered into what it now is.
Stop asking me to make one.

The wangst appears to come in forms many a number, including strangers begging knee and foot for asspats and money from other strangers. I really cannot believe what I am reading in that network. 
Β Do you really have an idea? Someone will take art and use it for their exasperated social justice activism and fandom wars, often implementing aggressive texts in MSpaint about how much they HAET something. And then the HAET will get 10,000 internet fame points from tryhards.

Another thing that bugs me about Tumblr is that it pretends to be like 4chan. Tumblr makes references to the overused and unfunny jokes that originated from 4chan all the time, because they think it makes them "edgy".Β
Also, what the hell is this fascination with shipping things? I don't understand...

Oh my lord, don't get me started on Tumblr... I have a blog, it's true, but I use it just for reblogging nice art and pictures of forests, but if you who's Reading the comments even think about having a tumblr, I can make a small list of things you will find...Β Black-on-White racism, Whites-who-pretend-to-be-black-to-be-tumblr-cooler-on-White racism, pro-suicide images, pro-anorexia images, lots and lots of porn of men, women and transgenders [this porn will Always come without asking, in the middle of your scrolling], horrible pictures of self-harm with people saying it's beautiful, loads of teenagers smoking and drinking and snorting cocaine, LOTS of pro-marijuana things... well, but if you just want to enjoy nice pics of your favourite series? THE FANDOMS ARE TERRIBLE. Telling a person to kill themself for not shipping the same ship you do is very common, ship wars tear apart fandoms, I am a survivor from the Les Miserables fandom and, believe me when I say they destroyed a classical litearature work turning every single character into a pot-smoking hipster, and killing you passive-agressively if you disagree with them. Oh well, and if you managed to successfully avoid all this shite, remember you Always can come across aggressive "feminism", rude posts with the only purpose of being rude disguised as "feminism" (this last one you just can't avoid.) If you still want to enter Tumblr, well, good luck.

I don't get the deal with it...I was planning to make reviews on it...But, after hearing how third parties can take your info...I decided "Fuck it" and it was never used since then. XD I got bored with it easily, all you do is reblog, reblog, reblog. You can't even talk to people...I was bored with it then, and still am now XDDD

Tumblr in general is depressing and its full of cliche 'inspirational' quotes. Thanks. I have very intense personal fury concerning the tumblr service, and I have back previously addressed, but I do try to remain civil as tolerable, especially my pals, who have a purpose for a tumblr.

I thought I'm the only person, who don't like this site. I'm not anti-tumblr, if somebody like it - it's ok. But sometimes people act like "If you don't have a tumblr you are not real artis, becouse tumblr is the most artistic place in the Internet". 
I also don't like quite populart gifs from cartoons. I'm a big animation enthusiast and when somebody make gif with cartoon character and silly words and swearing.... for me it's "destroy" a cartoon. And this gifs are only from movies and new cartoons with smooth animation... I agree that people are more rude on tumblr too. The idea of this site was good and I understand people liking this, but they don't have to tell to me "you must have a tumblr".
And I just really don't like memes...

Tumblr seems to convert people in to unenthusiastic-typing, rude, obnoxious, all-the-same hipster kids who love starbucks, photography, reading and things like anchors and vinyls. Nobody was ever like that until they made a tumblr... I admit I made one once, but I didn't convert and stayed MYSELF, and got mouthed off by my newly-hipster friends for posting rage comics...

Spending all damn day blathering about breakfast, re-rolling memes, screen-caps, videos and porn, theft and 'like' 'like' and 'LIKE' some more is a sad, sad piss poor way to waste time. We all waste time in moderation, sure, but spending hour upon hour everyday there?
They are all a clusterfuck of useless, though not to say that all of the people who use them are! I simply don't understand why people flock to these networks and their contents like ants.
It is so boring and devoid of intellectual substance that if I visit a T 'shitroller' page of a friend or of a dA member from a link to an alternate Tumblr, that I am not able to recognize whose page I am examining.

I'm amazed that it's called a blog site in my opinion. Or fun since an increasing number of people are just reblogging the same photos or taking someone's photos without their consent and claiming as their own.
There's also pornographic photos that are not filtered to protect kids (or anyone) from viewing them and that bothers me. There is a number of issues with the site that people seem to ignore.

I feel like Tumblr is a site that people try to put ideas and things they like down. But it's so cluttered with other crap that they want to forward, it's pretty much just a bin of everything they like, plus other stuff they have. I've seen some pretty clean slated deviants have tumblrs and they where fine to read. I think it should be, if you have a tumblr for art, keep it for art. If you have a tumblr for other random crap, keep it for that.
Or go pinning. I pinterest and it's a LOT nicer keeping track of things that I like. :3

I agree with most of what you've said, but I'd like to point out that posting work here on deviantART makes it liable to get stolen, too. I've had my work plagiarized before on this very site. =/ It's risk you take posting things anywhere on the internet, whether it's Tumblr, deviantART, or . . . well, anywhere, really.
But yeah, I agree with pretty much everything else. Tumblr just seems too messy and not at all streamlined enough for me. So, A+ stamp.

I don't mind a few of meme here and there, like most of the meme that are started on dA, with a glitch in a game or on a close forum are okay but the kind of wild mess that gets posted on 4chan and youtube is now tumblr and so it's just another 4chan with more customization features and a profile page, you know?
The art theft and the REASONS for some of the art theft have to be the main reason I've come to hate it even more now in the past couple weeks, as if I didn't despise it already. And these tumblr people think it's aawwwwweright or funne lulz-a-trollin'

I'm just simply saying that it's not my fling, I don't want one myself and it becomes annoying to be constantly redirected to a site I'm not a part of and have to dig to find what I'm looking for and so I miss things. I also do get annoyed by people that I "have to have one, how can you not have one" yes. And that isn't once but often several times.
