Description I did this a while back, and now I'm to lazy to go and fix all the typos, so you'll have to live

1: Things You'll Need
A LPS (Or other toy) to Customize (I think that's a given XD)

Acrylic Paint (Really any brand will work, I use Folk Art and Apple Barrel, even though both of these suck, they're easy to find, come in lots of colors, and CHEAP)

Paint Brushes (I use Wal-Mart brand paint brushes (Whatever brand it is they carry there, that is. I don't remeber what they're called XD) except for my fine line brush, which is a La Cornielle Liner Brush. It's really nice)

Clay (I use Sculpey for the oven bake kind. (Also, if it's just accessories, you can take them off your pet, bake them in the oven, then glue them on later) I've never used air dry, so I don't know what brand you might want to try XD)

Heat Gun (You can buy one of these at a hardware store for around $20 (I think))

100% Acetone (You can get a bottle of this at Wal-Mart (Be sure to be careful while using this ))

Cotton Balls and Q-Tips (You can get these at Wal-Mart)

Paper Plates (Or if you have a nice paint mixing tray, that'll work XD)

A Finish (I just went to Wal-Mart and bought a can of Krylon Clear, and it works okay. And it's cheap)

X-Acto Knife (If you want to cut of parts of your pet )

Glue of Some Sort (I use Crazy Glue Craft (So you know, you can't buy super glue unless your over 18 around here) Glue is optional, but very helpful if something breaks off)

Emery Board or Sand Paper (For lightly sanding your pet, so the paint sticks. You could probably use some sort of primer and get the same effect, I'd think)

Also I plastic cup with water in it (I forgot to mention this in the tutorial XD)

So I think that's everything!

Any questions, feel free to ask!

These are the same things I use when I customize ponies

I would say to use a blind bag next time instead of a special edition. The one I'm doing (coffee cat) is a blind bag that I didn't like at all.

Why not just paint over? Ps you are forgetting the non americans, walmart is only in america ding-dong!

Because your paint job will be smoother, and I'm sure you all have stores similar to Wal-Mart. Since I don't live anywhere besides America, I can't go naming stores in other countries unless I did research, and I wasn't going to bother with that when if you where truly confused as to where to buy something you could do it yourself.

i don't get how removing the paint will make it smoother... have you ever painted over the design

You can try it, and yes it would probably turn out okay, but it will be easier and take less coats of paint if it is all one color.

can you use a hair dryer instead of the heat gun ?

I don't think a hair dryer would be near hot enough to bake clay.
You can always take the clay off of your pet and bake it in the oven, then glue it on.
