Drawn by hand, inked in india ink, and colored in photoshopRen and Stimpy are owned, licensed and registered trademarks of Nickelodeon and John K.
Edit: Due to massive amounts of +favs on this piece I want to make it clear that this is a COPY that I did years ago, I just don't want any confusion. Though I did actually draw and color the image, all merit belongs to John K. and the artists who drafted the original. Thank you.

Good job! But I am curious; why go through the trouble of inking if you are going to put your drawing in PS later? I would think inking in Photoshop would be less of a mess and easier, not to mention that undo thingy. On the other hand, Inking by hand is a lot more impressive, so Kudos on that!!!!

iniing has its advantages wen being put into photoshop, the lines are already solid black as opposed to pencil lines or permanent marker lines in which they tend to blend some colors with the paper
when deleting the white for color (which is my way of doing it) the line remains completely intact, but with pencil or marker, some line is deleted as well due to the blending of colors
there are some other reasons but this is already a HUGE comment back
the other main reason is that i like to have a nice crisp uncolored version as well so I may compare, but anywho

Oh cool, that explains a lot and it actually a good idea. Plus, like you said, your paper looks a lot better too, should you decide to hang on to it.

I envy those who can ink with actual india ink. I'm such a klutz. I do mine on the computer.

its all god, it takes a little practice but it can be fun

Oh, I have. Many times. I have gotten better, but there's just something fundementally wrong with me (my hands just shake, maybe I have early Parkinsons or something) that makes me incapable of inking a straight line or splattering ink. Tried many times, many techniques, gave up in favor of computer based inking at 300+ ppi. Much more forgiving that way.

I never got to watch Ren and Stimpy but know they are pretty funny. My husband, who is sitting right next to me, is freaking out over your picture saying how awesome it is.

Ooo, you have very nice, crisp, clean line work. The colors are very vivid. You did a great job mixing the traditional and the digital. I was never a Ren and Stimpy fan, but this is a great drawing and it looks exactly like them.
