JPEG's are compressed files that degrade over time. So the quality of the photo is only going to go down as time goes on. TIFFs are lossless and uncompressed, like RAWs, so their quality remains the same.

Should have seen it went back there on my way to west coast ,nothing like it was... and best shitty part of it ..camera had defaulted to Jpeg so no raws ..F..
