We're going to mess around with henna sometime during our drawing class (weird, but awesome at the same time XD) so we were told to do some tattoo designs for specific parts of the body. And yes... I'm obviously very obsessed with fantasy. I wish the oriental dragon came out better, but I like how the various phoenixes came out.
This was so much fun, I think I'll keep doing them even after the assignment is due. XDMEDIA/PROCESS:
1) Took a picture of my arm
2) Traced it in Photoshop
3) Printed out multiple copies
4) Drew tattoos by hand with pen/ink
5) Scanned them back in the computer X_x

nice, i would do Pheonix 1 and would give it an airbrush/watercolor effect and erase the solid lines so it's subtle

Love the phoenix and peacock one, would love to see it done in multicolor henna x3 I might try to do one of those when I get my hands on some henna.....or markers xD

the peacock and phoenix tats are fantastic, are you thinking about getting them done flat, so we can see the entire bird and if you are, i'd be seriously considering getting them done for real.... keep me posted?

lol yes, i'm a fine arts major so we have lots of digital media stuff all around. (and yes, they wrap around the arm, i'm just too lazy to draw the other side XD)

hehe henna is an Indian body paint, basically. if u've seen Indian girls with their hands decorated in these really complex swirls, that's henna. its a temporary skin dye that comes off in a month or so, and the color of the "tattoo" is usually brown.

awww thank u! XD hehe i got a tenna tattoo once... the henna fell off hours before it was supposed to, but the tattoo stayed for like, a month. X_x crazy. i love henna XD i just hope i'll be able to draw right with it.
