I really like the contrast, the dark backgound and the white of the model's clothing . . . Great shot!

ilford xp2.. it was weird.. some of the roll turned out contasty as hell.. the others turned out great. i shot this @ 3.5... michelle sessions 2 was @ f8. shrug.
its all about meetering for the right spot.. not the shadows.. not the hi's..
but it also depends on lighting and even more, the source of that light.
glad you liked it.. i'm thinking of expanding on these photos.

hm....I have used xp2 400 in my canon 35mm camera recently, before been using hp5 400 and delta 100 pushed to 400 or 400. It seems that xp2 like a little overexposure, somewhere around iso 320 seems to work really well ive found. If I had the choice I probably wouldnt use it, for some weird reason I really like the results of delta 100 pushed to 400 with an extra 2 minutes in the developer passed the regular stated time doing 400 with ilford lc29 (such a forgiving developer for us ham fisted blokes)

no.. he would have failed me.
he's turning out to kinda sucks.. doesnt like pushing boundaries..
this nudges the whole "fashion photography" thing a bit.
i shot some really nicely lit product shots on this model though.. i wanted to get your opinion on them the other night.

I know! Why didn't you send them? I was connected & waiting.
That's too bad that Lippincott's not meeting your expectations... just keep doing your thing, you've only got another half semester with him. These look really great, regardless.

I already had "what-the-heck-this-is-not something-I-would-expect-you-to- do" coming out my keyboard, but then read your comments. heheh. Not a fashion shoot after all. I love the the way the camera is in front the model's head. A comment about fashion perhaps, or just quirkyness..hmm. Maybe both. Great shot, no matter what. Sweet grain and DoF.
