Aw, well...if you see it my way...15 makes 8 a better person like he doesn't bully or use the magnet and I think that's why their good together. 15 is like helping him out and giving him the love he desperatly needs at the sane time

Awwww, emmi lemmi...)8 *cling* We've all felt this way about our canon/oc couples (more than once) but believe me when I say that 15 is the ONLY, and I mean, ONLY character I can see paired with 8. She is PERFECT for him, yes, they have their differences, but what couple doesn't? You have NOT warped his character, simply given him more of one, if you ask me. He was simply a flat undeveloped character in the movie who really had no purpose. But, through 9 Genesis I feel like he's developed far beyond how he was portrayed in the movie.

You've given the character purpose, meaning and a personality, not just through the use of 15 but by just liking the character in general! I didn't even like the old lug until you got me to like him through developing him, and now he's one of my favourite 9 characters! What would you say is 8's 'type' persay? If he were paired with say...a female version of himself, just more slender, was also a magnet addict and a bully. Wouldn't that just be plain boring? It'd be like dating your reflection.

15 on the other hand, brings out so much more in 8, and I know it's gotten alot of other people to like him as a character. I can definately see 8 going for someone like 15, no one more, no one less. Just good ol' 15. OC/Canon isn't a crime, neither is developing 8 as a character (alot, in this case). So pleaseeee don't let it get to you, these two as a couple have brought so much more joy than you can even imagine.

It's normal to have your doubts, we all do now and then, but think of the good times gained from it, cos I'm sure as heck that it brought us...closer togethersh. Hmmm...~_~ *Stroke* 8/15 FOREVAAAA XBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBB

Oh, Emily ... I can understand your feelings, I felt like you. But you need not despair about this, because they are - a perfect couple! Look how many people support them! They look's great together. First, 15 helps him get better and be on the right way, we have learned about it from the 9 GENESIS comic. And you did not change his character for the worse, no! With the 15 you could well reveal his character and do not spoil. I see 8 and see him from that awesome movie. Please, don't think about it. If actually watch, 15 and 8 have something similar! Something they are lonely souls made for each other, they have some than they value - it's a magnet for 8 and bright stones for 15 ... I say it again - they are a wonderful couple! I thought about that i can drawo for you as a gift for Christmas, and now I know - I will draw for you 15x8 so you don't be sad before the holiday! ^^ Please, thinkin' about it. We are with you, and many people just support my words. Good luck to you, hun!

But even if after all the words you feel sad, I think it will pass. Re-read comics with them again, review the pictures with them, remember how people admired them ... Everything will be fine!

Hmmm well everyone has doubts. I admit there have been couples and characters I've had doubts with myself. Its a long process to find out. I hope you find your answers Wolfy.

And even if they aren't meant to be a couple, 15 is still a wonderful character on her own^^. You've made me like her a lot and I'm not even a fan of 9. I mean no offense to you and others, its just not one of my movie obsessions. But your character's grown on me a lot

I see them as a loving couple, sure there going to have fights once and awhile and go through hard times in
their relaionship but all lovers do.

I see 15 might even help 8 get rid of his magnet addiction and I'm sure if that happens
8 is going to become a far nicer stichpunk, of course he might put on a show
in front of 1 to trick him into beliving that he is still a big bully.

Sure they might have a rough start together, but I belive that they'll be loving lovers in the end.

I personally LOVE 8 and 15 as a couple! I like the idea of 8 loving someone other than his magnet, and to show a more softer side of his personality--after all, he's only seen as a mindless bully in the movie.
To tell the truth, I didn't like 8 too much until I saw your 8x15!

Anyway, I really like the picture. I love the emotion and how you draw 8.

Sometimes the most mismatched couples work the best together. I like the idea that 8 is settled on being a mindless drug-addicted bully until someone friendly and innocent like 15 comes along and makes him start to see the error of his ways. He's still a tough guy, but he's slowly learning that he needs to tone it down. I also like that 15 starts off being very silly and carefree, then learns from her problems with 8 that life isn't just a fun little game. They both help each other to grow up.

I always got the impression that the stress from 1 bossing him around made 8 use the magnet, and then that screwed up his head and made him more violent. The heart of their relationship seems to be 15 trying to get 8 to stop using the magnet so he'll have a grip on himself again. In the meantime, she obsesses over her shinies to make him jealous and give him an idea of how the magnet makes her feel. That's just a theory.

Anyway, this is a cute picture. Sad stitchpunks are so huggable The lack of colors and a background also creates a very bleak atmosphere that's perfect for what you're conveying. Love it!

There's nothing wrong with these two as a pairing at all.
I don't think 8's character has really changed. I was watching the film with the commentary once and it said that even though 8 bullies and pushes the others around, he would never physically hurt them (there's even a small scene where he looks back at the others and hesitates to leave them before he follows 1 in the scene with the Winged Beast).
Personally, I think that 8 looking out for 1 is proof that 8 does have a heart.
The type part isn't anything to worry about because these two developed into something special.
And since both 8 and 15 die, it shows how willing you were to let her be with him.
