Will I ever stop crying about these two? Probably not. Here's yet another tribute to the bromance of the ages, only this time I'm actually super proud of it... MY MONA LISA.
This started out as shading practice from a really lovely reference picture (which I cannot find right now, if by chance you do link it back to me pls), and eventually it turned to my beloved sons This is the last thing I'll be posting for a while because exams, meh, so I hope you enjoy!

I don't know the books, but your illustration looks so beautiful and heartwarming! I really like how you shade the skin of the characters with blue and yellow (I guess?)!

Oh, thank you so much! I think I can recall myself using primarily silver and black,
with a little skin color and light blue to bring out the shapes. It was mostly experimental, but it worked

It's a bit complicated. The characters in these book series burn symbols into their skin that provide them
with strength, enhanced senses, stamina and the like. This particular rune is special, as it is placed upon a
pair of people that choose to become hunting partners but also swear an oath to lay their lives down
for each other. For us fans of the books, it's a symbol of closeness and the purest form of friendship.
There are several pair of Parabatai in the books, but to me, these two share the strongest form of this bond

Do you think anyone else could perceive it like that?? All I was thinking of when I was doing this was, ''comfort, comfort, FEELS, bromance, consolation, fEEEEElss''... I usually like to give some ambiguity to my work, but I never thought this one could be seen as otherwise too...
