Cover art for the fanfic I'm working on. It will be a short one that takes place during my previous one (Ace Combat: The Changeling War). It's about a group of mercenary pilots led by Sunset Shimmer that are hired by the exiled Crystal Empire government, and with the help of the Equestrian Intelligence Agency, launch clandestine strike missions inside the Changeling Kingdom. I did upload 2 bonus chapters to the other fanfic as an intro to the series (should've saved the 2nd one for the start of this series):Ace Combat: The Changeling War - The Guardian

The forces of the Changeling Kingdom had overrun the small, secluded village. The resistance group led by Nightshade had been defeated, and her and one other pony had been captured and taken away. She managed to pull the Changelings away long enough for her friend Sundance to escort the villagers to a hiding spot deep in the woods.
"Have you found them yet?" The Changeling commander asked another.
"No. They could be hiding anywhere in that forest," he replied. Another Changeling showed up.
"Sir do we burn the village?" he asked the commander.
"Yes proceed. And is bomber wing 14 still on standby?"
"Yes, no one has called them in yet."
"Well have them come here and bomb the two square miles West of this village. We'll try and kill the rest of them," he replied.
"Yes sir," and the other two Changelings left.

Sunset Shimmer had launched 2 different attacks on Changeling forces after she quit working for them over the incident with the village. She enjoyed doing it, but it was quickly draining her bank account.
Her plane was now parked in a hangar at one end of the sprawling Gryphus airbase where the majority of mercenaries flying out of the Griffon Empire were stationed. She was busy stenciling two more kill stars on the side of her SU-33 when a Griffon mercenary walked over.
"Hey are you still set on fighting the Changelings by yourself?" he asked.
"Yes Redwing. Why?"
"Well it looks like a chance to get paid for doing it has come up," he replied. Sunset was surprised.
"I'm listening."
Apparently the exiled Crystal Empire along with Equestria is looking for mercenary help in doing some clandestine ops inside the Changeling's country. There's a meeting tonight in hangar two. Me and several others are going."

Wanted to get this cranked out in a hurry so I took some shortcuts.
It marks my first time at using characters besides ponies for the main characters. In this case Griffons and Dogs. Since I can't draw Griffons yet, it marks the first time I've used bases. In this case Redwing's base is by , and Serana and Alvinar by .
