Description My latest models.

The F-14 is a 1:48 scale Revell Hunt for Red October kit. The kit assembled better than their other F-14 models, but it's detailing is more lax. As you can see in the bottom photo there's no landing gear wells. They're both filled in. The instrument panels were decals only. It does have movable wings and ailerons. Not sure if Toms ever flew with that weapons loadout. Overall it's a decent kit, but there's better ones. I think it was made with kids in mind based on the instructions. It's painted the NLRAF standard 2 camo  for the 31st TFS (Knighthawks).

The F-16A is a Matchbox 1:72 scale model that's as old as me (1978). It's pretty much a model for beginners. It comes molded in 4 colors and can be built as an A or
B model. It has several options for weapons loadouts too.
As for the detailing: it's not very good. There's no panel lines except for major ones. The bombs seem to be out of scale. What they call Mk. 82's (500lb) are more like Mk. 81's (250lb), and the Mk 83's (1,000lb) included are bigger than Mk 84's (2,000lb). Instead of using the kit ones I put a couple of 1:48 scale Mk 82's on, which scale out better to a Mk. 84.  It's painted in the NLRAF Desert 1 camo for the 23rd TFS (Bat).
