"AWWW YEAH! The muffins are on me when we get back!"

Though it was a tough road, Derpy's pilot training paid off with her first kill: a Legion of Discord SU-27. The two were on another training C.A.P. (Combat Air Patrol) when a call came in about the LoD fighter entering NLR airspace and showing hostile intent towards a transport. Derpy and Dash were the closest, so they intercepted it.
As soon as RD contacted the LoD plane it turned and fired a missile at them. A dogfight ensued, and Derpy won (it proved her eyes return to normal when she's focused on something). 2 more LoD planes showed up which may have been bad for them, but by then a pair of Lunar squadron SU-37's had showed up also and they ran.

The hard part of this drawing was the shading on the Tomcat. I still don't think it looks that good. The smoke was actually somewhat easy (though time consuming) with the photo program I have (MGI Photosuite 2 SE).

I will try making a short fanfic based on this picture.
