Well, Rushuna doesnt have a super attack like that. The only similar things she has from Vash is the extreme dodging, the love and peace and the easygoing perosnality.
if u have seen "Oh my goddess", Rushina ha sthe same personality as Belldandy. Plus she knows martial arts and has big boobs (good distraction against Vash; not to mention her bullets are storaged there).
Rushina's speciality is the "Eagle Eye", wich makes her marksmanship flawless. She can aim and hit a target many miles away from her in the bullseye.

awesome pic +fav
i just started watching Grenadier, and as soon as Rushuna talks about peace and non-violence then proceeds to pick off ppl from insanely far off and not kill them i think "lol, she and Vash would get along gr8"
Rushuna would seem to have the advantage after getting Vash off her and onto the ground then Vash would freak out, and dance to dodge her bullets then find cover and poke his head out and shoot from there. Rushuna would then wait for him to show himself then get him in the shoulder or chest. Vash would whine that it hurts and she'd go nurse his injury and they wok together from that point on. Meryl and Yajiro would grumble in mutual disappointment and get a drink.

There won't be a second season. The story of the anime is as far as the manga ever went, since the guy who wrote it pretty much stopped writing and drawing anime after he did Grenadier. I know, I love Rushuna and Yajiro and this weird early industrial Japanese world they inhabit, but I wouldn't get my hopes up for a second season, especially since it's been 9 years since the manga finished.

The animes are basically one in the same. Invincible gun-slinging nitwit with a pacifist mentality who wishes to rid the world of evil, followed around by a violence-first sidekick or sidekicks, and both have weird weaknesses - Vash loves donuts and Rushuna loves hot springs.
Rushuna's world is also a tad inconsistent. In a world of fairly modern firearms, there are still countless people who still use swords and other primitive weapons. Any civilization expert will tell you that lesser tech users are always at the mercy of the more advanced users. This just makes Grenadier less likable to an over-thinker like myself.
But if given a choice, I think I'll root for Vash. Rushuna's basically just walking fanservice.

ikrani In reply to Harris2300 [2015-06-18 05:53:55 +0000 UTC]
Not really. Most of the fan service provided by Rushuna never brings the story to a halt, and her deal with taking hot baths and inviting people to join her helps illustrate her innocence and general belief in her philosophy of removing the enemy's will to fight, either by subduing them with bullets or taking a hot bath with a beautiful woman. Plus, the way she stores her ammo in her cleavage gives Grenadier something visually iconic, something that you'd instantly associate with show/manga.
Yeah, Grenadier and Trigun basically have the same character archetypes, but the stories and details of said characters are what set them apart. Plus, Trigun was grounded in reality insofar as to follow physics to some extend. Rushuna should get Anime Abandon's coveted Leon S. Kennedy Award For F*cking Physics Right Up the Ass for some of the outlandishly ridiculous marksmanship she pulls off.
On the subject of that whole thing about lesser tech users, I'd like to remind you that we're talking about anime, where regular human beings can take a sledgehammer to the face and walk it off. Plus, anime and shows featuring ninjas in the modern day always give ninjas some BS way of bypassing advanced weapons, so I'd chalk that up to suspension of disbelief.

Heh, neither would win, since neither of them want to fight and Vash would perv on her before she even had a chance to smile him into submission. They'd just get married and have little gunslinger babies.

Hmm.... Well, it's been a while since I've seen Trigun but I think there's a very good possibility that they could get romantically involved. It would probably develop slowly, well at least from Rushuna's side!

Despite watching about the first ten episodes of the former, I quite like the series! But at the same time, looking at the latter, it seems quite promising to watch! Maybe I might as well Grenadier to Rushuna in action. But in the meantime, both gunfighters look cool to boot! Awesome pic!

Actually if either one touched the other, they'd both disappear since the same matter can't be in two places at once and it'd cause a time paradox...you see, Rushuna is the female version of Vash! They are completely identical except for their sex. Both act completely stupid yet are smarter than anyone around, both are super shots, both attract every which member of the opposite sex, and both would do anything before killing. (Well, not sure about Rushuna...but hey, she turns almost anyone good by giving them a hug and a smile...or receiving one).

I call it pretty even, although Vash does get distracted he'll get serious when he has to. Although I won't put it pass him to be flirting with her a bit before the duel.
In skill they both have almost inhuman skill with a gun. Although I bet Rushuna's revolver is older then Vash's but they both have six shots right? Difference in the two is that Rushuna will kill, although she'll give you quite abit of leeway before she's forced too. Vash plain does not want to kill. Frankly I think for the first few minutes of the duel he'll be dodging her shots barely. In fact I see those two actually working together rather then shooting it out with each other. Also Vash actually has more firepower then Rushuna but that doesn't really matter, skill and wits matter.

you do have a point there.
Although at the end of the Trigun series, Vash made a new vow, he said he wont kill again, that is for sure, but he also said that he will take his own path and decicion and will kill again if he has no other choice, so that is his very last resort now.
If there is another way, he will surely take it.
