Daughter of Tukson!? Whhhaaaaaa-Nobody cares? Cool.
This started as a random comment on my last installment of Tukson's Revenge, it then spiraled far out of even my own control and now I'm
work-shopping a new team of OC's. No regrets.
I just kind of fell in love with the idea of Tukson's daughter kicking down the door of Cinders hideout looking to avenge her father!
Hey diddle diddle, the cat and the fiddle... Er... Puma? Whatever.
So how efficient of a weapon can a violin be? Well it's name is "Symphonic Discord", Oreonna can play a short song on it to power up the bow of her weapon for more powerful physical attacks. Also with more complicated songs she can create powerful spells based on the element of Dust being used. I guess the obvious downside is trying to play a short little diddy while getting attacked by giant monsters or people with chainsaw swords, kind of makes you any easy target... Unless you could give them multiple targets to focus on... Semblance start! She can split into two versions of herself, one with white hair (wielding her bow/sword) and one with black hair (wielding the violin/shield). Useful for ganging up on one enemy, or taking on two (looking at you Emerald and Mercury... No I haven't forgiven you!). However, the two can't exist more than several yards apart. So close combat only.
She shares a lot of personality traits with her parents, Tukson and Neo. Studious, book smart, but also with a bit of a vicious streak. Not as outgoing as her other teammates. But I guess all that can change once you find out your dad has been super-bullet-kicked in the face!
I look forward to traumatizing this character forever!

Her semblance reminds me of the tiger talisman from Jackie Chan Adventures. The talisman grants the holder spiritual balance. But if you break it you split in two becoming imbalanced, one half filled with positive energy(Yin) and the other half filled with negative energy(Yang).
Is 'Delsole' Tuksons real last name or did you make it up? If so how did you?

Yuppers! The last name "Delsole" was one I came up with. It's a bit of a long story though.
Okay, so I read somewhere that Tukson's name was based off the book called "Under the Tuscan Sun", which has something to do with Tuscany, I don't know what really, I never read it. Anyway, Tuscany is in Italy so I wanted an Italian last name, so using google translate I searched for "under the sun" the Italian, but it was too long and didn't really sound like a good last name. So instead I looked up "of the sun", not exactly what I wanted, but I figured it was close enough. That translated to "del sole", then I just crammed those two words together. So yeah, Tukson Delsole. The more you know I suppose.
Lastly, I do remember Jackie chan adventures. It does sound similar to the tiger talisman, I never realized that. I don't know if I'd say Oreonna's darker haired half is "negative", but she might be a tad more aggressive. But I can confirm I was going for a ying and yang thing with her semblance.

A bit of hilarity I just realized:
Oreonna's Semblance lets her split into two warriors; one dark-haired wielding a shield, the other pale-haired wielding a sword.
Just one week after you posted this, YouTube user "Mark" (full name Mark Zhang) released this fan-trailer www.youtube.com/watch?v=BfoRYP… for one of his RWBY OCs. In the trailer, the OC's enemies are two robots; one dark-colored and wielding a shield, the other pale(r)-colored and wielding a sword.
If that isn't a case of "Great Minds Think Alike," I don't know what is.

Her reminds me of my death strings, but only by the fact that it's a violin weapon and the bow is a sword. All in all, well done.

Nice weapon name! I was actually planning on calling it something cute like... Third Crusade... but hey, Symphonic Discord also sounds pretty cool. Sounds like two things that shouldn't be; symphonic usually goes with harmony and peace, while discord goes with... well... discord. It definitely goes well with Oreonna's whole "Two side" deal.
Or maybe I'm just looking too much into this. I dunno.
Intelligent, and book-smart, eh? Well, I think she may be the most badass nerd in Beacon. Wouldn't you agree? Yeah, Oreonna won't be blackmailed into doing someone else's homework anytime soon.

(P.S. What if her split copies had their own personalities? All the memories of Oreonna would be in each of them, but the white-haired one would be calm, kind and peaceful, while the black-haired one would be angry, aggressive and rude.)

I completely endorse the dual personality aspect of her "split" ability.
I'm glad you noticed the whole duality thing I was going for with her. Ebony and Ivory, Good and evil (from her parents I suppose... Even if Neo does have her good days

(... I love that weapon. I created a character who used a Violin and Bow, however his Violin was also a gun, firing from the end with the tuning pegs changing the ammo type, and the actual bow for the Violin being strung with a Dust-String, like the strings of the Violin itself, Wind-Dust, to raise the gales and make them blow...
Ahem. The point is, that I think this is cool, and particularly love the colored pegs, and how much you can potentially do with that musical string-shield and bow-string sword. Very cool weapon design for me... oh, and, ah, she's cool to.)

Nah, in my head, I always had it as she came into Tukson's care after his White Fang days. And he never told her about his time with them... Which I'm sure would raise some questions with her when he was murdered by them.

I'm just one of those people who notice the more obscure and unusual details. As for theories/story something like Oreonna is the daughter of Tukson and Neo. She is proud of her faunus and human heritage, but it was Oreonna who convinced her father to leave the White Fang. Agreeing for them to meet in Vaccuo, but her father is killed. Inraged she tries to take revenge on Cinder's group for killing her father, but came face to face with her mother. Neo was conflicted about killing her own daughter, but was too loyal to Cinder and fearful of what Cinder would do to her daughter she fought against Oreonna to force her to retreat. During their fight a fire started distracting Oreonna into making a mistake and getting her ear cut by Neo's blade. As the hallway collapsed the last sight Neo saw was her daughter looking at her with tearful eyes. Oreonna did manage to get away, but not without spending the next three months in the hospital. Unsure of what to do next, she sat in the hospital bed as a grey haired man with a black suit and green scarf with a cane walked in.

Truth be told I kind of just wrote it off the top of my head, but thank you VERY MUCH. Recently I have actually been working on my story writing so with your permission I'd like to write a full story for Oreonna continuing from what I've already told you and her journey to become a huntress at Beacon.

Just her design alone is worth pursuing, but the idea of a daughter between Neo and Tukson, who could pass that up. Although, I will be re-evaluating how I want to do her story. WhiteFreak14 showed me their really awesome fanfic and I want to try and do something that does her justice.

Wow... just Wow... you really hit the nail on the head. The ideas for her weapon's functions were even better than what I was planning, just WOW it was awesome.
