Bronze really isn't our thing. Also, we tend to make swords for people who are going to use them, and bronze just isn't as good as steel for that.

I love Khopesh--such a fun design, not to mention effective! I always feel like I would want the cutting edge to be inside the curve, though...

Awesome! There is actually another sword I drew that can be found in my gallery. I imagined it to have a bronze/gold color, and I did base it on this design but made a few little tweaks. Oddly enough, the design I had based it on had been one of a more sickle-like shape, so it had a much larger curve, but that combined with my intention to design a blade that served similar functions as Sly Cooper's Staff caused me to design my sword, nicknamed "Rasword" (Ra's Sword), with a sharper shape to the corners. You'll see what I mean if you go look at it. I honestly would be overjoyed if you actually made it and gave it the color I intended (although the way I imagined it, the metal itself was that color, so you'd have to stain the metal or something instead of just painting it). I'd be overjoyed if you made any of the swords in my gallery for that matter. XD

That Rasword looks a little like an older blade I did years ago that I think I ended up calling the Zipper or something. Unfortunately, since this is now my full time job, don't really get to do requests or blades for fun anymore. Pretty much stuck making paid commissions 24/7 :/

It surely looks nice when made of steel. I have a little question about it, was the curved part of the sword, the only sharp area? And was it used by both chariots and infantry?

Usually only the curved section was sharp. Some were found to be blunted, although whether they were used as bludgeoning weapons or purely ceremonial is unknown.
Mainly infantry, I believe. Sometimes depicted from chariot. May have been more symbolic though. Seems at least from what's been dug up that a lot of khopeshes weren't intended to be actually used.

Feels that way in balance. Probably helped back when it was made of bronze and used by the ancient Egyptians. I'd imagine the high blade presence feel made it very effective from chariot.

perhaps you should consider getting a transport insurance or something like that. Some delivery services offer that, it's a bit expensive but considering the work you've put in sucha sword I think it'll pay off.

Aye, we typically put insurance on packages, and they do give you some money back after fighting tooth and nail for it, but in the end, it's still lost, you know?

Not really doing any commissions at the moment while I work on getting the Longship Armoury semi-custom line going, but it'd probably have to be somewhere around 1k. The blade profile takes a long time.

Material costs flux all the time, so the cost varies per sword.

Yep. Meant for the customer's stage combat though, so bronze wouldn't work too well for him
