  Due to the 'environment' that she came from, her opinion of talented people are anything but positive after the Tragedy that took place in Hope's Peak Academy. Since she is always skeptical about other intentions in the first place, her trust in Ultimate are close to zero Despite being one herself now, she considered herself different from the rest. She feels like her 'talent' isn't really talent but only hard work that was mistaken for natural talent. Poppy always seems to be in a bad mood, snapping at people who so much as says hello to her which makes her comes off as cold and uncaring towards others. She also has a tendency to say whatever is on her mind  making it hard for people to get along with her. Along with her bad attitude, Poppy is also known for holding grudges against other even if the person apologized to her. If she forgives you she will never forget what was said/done to her. Sometimes she let's her emotions get the better of her and goes overboard to the point where she may try to get revenge on said person. Once she see the damage of he actions she usually feel guilty but she bring herself to show it.

  Although she wasn't always this way, in fact she used to be quite the opposite. Until recent years, Poppy used to be Gung-ho and optimistic about a lot of things which used to make her a great team leader back at home. After the age of 13 her personality started to change to keep others away from her after the events that happened in her home town. Even if she decided to not get close to other she still tries to make sure she not on the worse terms with other. She tries her best to not to go out looking for trouble. Even if she may not have the best opinion of others, poppy make sure that other opinions of other at least stays in the neutral bar or at least somewhere close. Being neutral with everyone allows her to cooperate with whoever she pleases without people sticking their nose too far into her own personal affairs.

Poppy has a hobby of collecting photos in a photo album as a way to document events in her life. She started this hobby after mistakenly buying her first album online when she thought it was a notebook instead. She left her original due to the unpleasant memories they hold.

She only knows the bare bone basic, but along with it being a bit fun to her it helps learn how make plans and blueprints for up coming projects readable for others.

Years after The Biggest, Most awful, Most tragic Even in Human History, Future Foundation have been successfully bringing as much hope as they can around the world. Ever since the events that took place at Hope's Peak academy, hatred for extremely talented people spread like wild fire. In the town that Poppy grew up in it was common for people to have a distaste for any Ultimate in fear of another tragedy. No one in Poppy's town forgot about what happen, it was always on everyone's mind. It was a common topic in school teaching kids from a young age the damage that talented people can cause. They were always in constant fear that if another tragedy struck the town along with it's townspeople would be completely destroyed. Although their fears weren't unfounded.


The town had never fully recovered from the incident, from destroyed building, roads, and streets to emotionally destroyed adults. At first glance it looked like the area was still in the middle of a war. Repairs were always desperately needed to prevent everything from collapsing on top of people. Finding a repair man in town was rare, being in a remote location meant that hiring someone out of town was too inconvenient but even if they someone could come the locals were most likely to poor to afford it anyways. When things started to get worse, a group of people started to form together to do whatever they can to maintain things. Most of the work they did were volunteer work, but if it was very complicated people were charged a small but affordable fee. Among these group of people was Poppy's father who was also the founder and the leader of these workers. This all start when Poppy was still too young to remember. Since then the town had improved if only a little bit. Even so people were singing Poppy's father praises. Poppy had admired her father and always took pride in his work. She always dreamed of one day doing the same work as he did and helping everyone out anyway that she could.

When she was 9 she decided that waiting till she was an adult to do what her father does was too long of a wait and wanted to figure out what she could do now. She read up on any books she could find in the local library on how to do different things like gardening, sewing, cleaning, even on how to tell when a pipes need updating so that she can inform her father before it's too late. She started to try out the new things she learned out home till her father praised her skills, to which she decided to use her skills on neighbors. As she grew older people were always coming up to her asking for advice or to do things for them to which she happily agreed to. To her she was well on her way to be of help to her father like he was to everyone else.

At the age of 12, her dad suffered an injury which caused him to not be able to move around as much as he used to, making work a lot harder for him than it used to be. Everyone was worried on what would become of the town since most of Poppy's father workers weren't as organized as he was making them not good leader material. Poppy had thought of this as her chance to achieve her dreams and decided to step into her father shoes and maintain the town in his stead, putting less work on him. Her father disallowed it at first but soon gave in. There wasn't much reason to doubt she could do the job correct since she was doing almost the same amount as work beforehand, the only difference was her age. Though she proved herself to be much help, even better than her father. Over the course of a year and a half the town was looking better than ever. Roads were getting fixed, buildings were being made and thing were getting cleaned. Poppy wasn't only just fixing things up but were teaching townsfolk on how to do simple things themselves. What more could they have asked?

  For a while things were alright.

  Then people started to think that Poppy could be considered a talented person given the result she showed in less than a year. People were starting to distance themselves from her, even her close friends, teachers peers, and co workers. Sometimes they went as far as to outright ignore her. In school she was never called on and wasn't even allowed to take part of certain actives in class either. Sometimes she wasn't even given a test during class. At home her parents would still interact with her but was growing less and less with each passing day. Even though most people stopped asking, she kept doing things for the town.

Get up, go to school, work, go home, sleep. That was mainly her routine until her last year of middle school. One day while Poppy was at a pond that she frequently visited, she was contacted by two men in a black suit who called said they were apart of Future Foundation. They informed her that she qualified to be an Ultimate and that she was required to attend Future's Road Academy and that declining the offer was not an option. They told her that was was allowed to stay a few days to say her goodbyes if she wished, but afterward they would have to depart immediately. Poppy had hesitated for a bit but decided to leave that night. After bringing her belonging, she left in the middle of the night leaving her parents a parting note for them to see in the morning.

  A few days afterwards they arrived. When Poppy arrived to Future's Road Academy she walked through the gates of her new school, when suddenly everything went black.
