Description
Fan art of Jigoku Shoujo.I often wondered why Ai seems so sad, and thought perhaps one day when all the tainted souls had paid for what they've done, they'll be ascending to heaven and finally lift the burden off Ai.
Tried it with a different coloring method, first greyscale, then colored it using overlay layers in photoshop.

If you watch the entire series, and the second season, you find ut why Ai is so sullen and why she is the Jigoku Shojo ;D But I don't want to spoil it for you

FINALLY someone does some absolutely stunning Jigoku fanart! Of course, thinking Ai will ascend is a bit naive after the end of the second season...but I won't say any more than that. :3

Not really, the series ends after second season. I really hate how it's all over...and the live-action version of it is total trash.

Live action is always crappy. One thing I don't understand was, AI in the anime series look like a junior high kid, or even an elementary, but in the live action screen shots I've seen, the actress is like at least 16. Why can't they choose a younger girl. T T
The other three seems pretty fit for the image though.

Yeah, and I love how they made Ichimoku Ren really sexy, and Honne-ona was pretty good-looking too...but I mean, they really, really, REALLY messed up Ai. She isn't pretty, she isn't very good at acting, the only thing she has down is the voice, and even that isn't the best. It was just shameful, terribly terribly shameful, for me to be such a big Jigoku fan and then have to watch that crap.

i have no idea why you thought this looked anything other than awesome <333 the lighting is so great on her figure. i really love how the other people faded within the background. only thing i would improve on are her fingers, but i know you're under time contraints :3 you've done a lovely job on this!
