Both are so cool, but this one really makes me sorry it got unused.Β Β Are these the only two?Β Were there others that were used? Can we see them? And so many other questions.

I'm afraid these are the only two - there's plenty of sketches and super fast mockups but nothing worth sharing I'm afraid - it's all just broken fragments.
It was for a storybook pitch, the publishers liked the story but said they have their own illustrators they assign to stories or something (which I think means they didn't like the pictures)

It could also be true. I know at least Ediciones Babylon (a spanish publisher)Β has a couple of people they work with often (Marta Nael, Jorge Monreal) and I imagine they get commissioned (or maybe they're even on staff) when they need something done.
Maybe they didn't like the style. Who knows. Your images are great anyway, they just need to find another audience (like me

That makes sense! I think from a submissions point of view - it's easier to judge a story by the words used, as a separate thing to the art. Art can misinterpret or skew the readers perception of the intended story if mis-matched.
I'm still working on tonnes of ideas and projects my friend - though I'm trying to finish a few things off before I start new things, I always want your feedback and input on these things
