Great sequence; where also shown as a clever attack on the crotch you can completely change the outcome of the battle.
And I would also like to congratulate you on your gallery: your jobs are original and are very well made.

The take no prisoners attitude underlies the deep hatred for each other on both sides. Jeff Broome wrote in the Cheyenne Wars of the settler's experience of NA raids and that the Sand Creek massacre was triggered by the murder of the Hungates by Cheyenne dog soldiers. What is the truth??

Perspective is everything - and endlessly open to change LOL. The Hungate killings ocurred after no less than 5 vicious attacks by Colorado troops on Cheyenne villages had been launched. Fully 8 weeks after the Colorado troops had started total war out of the blue, the Hungate killings were the first settler fatalities in this war. The Hungate family was killed by Arapaho warriors. Jeff Broome has published a pretty good reasearch account on how that probably happened: the Arapahoes were capturing stock and Nathan Hungate probably shot and killed one of the warrior. The warriors then smoked out his family and him and killed them all. Have you read Jeff Broome's Dog Soldier Justice and Cheyenne War? He just challenged ppl on facebook to point out what would have been bad scholarship about DSJ. I replied, and as a consequence I'm now no longer on Jeff's FB friends list.

Which will get you pretty far as a rule of thump in the history of the Indian Wars. This comic strip is inspired by and a kind of anger management exercise over a real life attack on a tiny Cheyenne camp at just the time and place described on September 23rd 1864 at Summit Springs, Northeastern Colorado. A troop of the Colorado 3rd volunteers discovered and fired into two cheyenne lodges. Two men, one teenager, two young women, two middle-aged women and two little kids started running for their lives in panic, tried to surrender. They were all killed, the last kids while the women were cowering in a protective gesture over them. No prisoners taken indeed, just as 8 weeks later at Sand Creek by the same troops.

The tension mounts! Great pictures again. Just wondering, when the nomadic tribes follow the buffalo herds on the great plains, are water supply easily available?
Also in tribal life, what are sanitation arrangements, do people just go behind a bush or dig a hole or are there designated areas for the whole tribe to go for sanitation purposes?
