When I addressed emotional content in this series at the start, there was a lot of humor and/or aggression in emotional discussions. This was from my own place of viewing masculinity through a toxic lens and believing that if I wanted to make this couple feel masculine, the emotional aspects had to be diffused. As someone with more of an understanding of relationships and a wider perspective on emotion, I wanted to evolve their communication. They're in a really safe and intimate environment for them, their bedroom, having a really vulnerable discussion. As much as I initially wanted to diffuse it with more of Pietro's pride or Lance's callousness, I think it's time to show the growth in their relationship due to their shared experiences.

With that out of the way, EMOTIONS. Emotions everywhere. We're talking about the fight--a bit, almost. But some. Clearly, Lance has wanted to talk about it for some time. Pietro...is not ready. This could be the first time he's said the word "please" in the entire 150+ page series. Not sure about that one, but it is QUITE POSSIBLE.

Lance tells Pietro something he PROBABLY already knows. Still, I think Pietro's been realizing how much Lance is HIS world and at least it's reciprocated. That said, that's not ENTIRELY a healthy viewpoint to have in a relationship. They're in a real rough/rocky patch but, this feels like a watershed moment for them. Hopefully, a healthier relationship lies ahead. <3
