He's a wolf pony. He was a normal Earth pony until a mad goat scientist fused him with a wolf monster.

A Sugar Skull is a representative of the dead. Mexicans celebrate a holiday called Day of the Dead. They celebrate that day to honor the dead. They use Sugar Skulls, for example. They will take a real skull, or plastic one, and decorate it with paints with all sorts of colors. A lot of the time, they use just white. Others also face paint each other to make them look like a Sugar Skull.
