ya'll really seem to like my headcanon stuff, and i really like rambling, so why not keep this going some some random ass one-episode characters

Treehugger

Treehugger is known around Ponyville as that one dim-bulb stoner, but it's not really true. Lately, she's been cutting way, way back on the psychedelics (partly because her tolerance was getting so high it began to cost a small fortune to get decently high, and it's not like she's rolling in money). She isn't nearly as dim as everypony thinks, and she's quite opinionated on topics like animal rights, forest conservation, and spirituality. She's a hardcore environmentalist, and has laid down in front of loggers trying to clear forests, and her response to animal abuse by busting said animals out of captivity. She's quite kind, particularly to foals, animals, and trees (with whom she likes to hold long, serious philosophical discussions with). She doesn't have a steady job, and thus gets by doing things like psychic readings, nude modeling for local art classes, and selling home-made quilts and jewelry. All of this is mixed in with lots of volunteer work with her best friend, Fluttershy.

Treezy has a tense relationship with her adult son, Chakra Blossom (sired by her short-lived boyfriend, Zephyr Breeze). She isn't nearly as oblivious to Chakra's exploits as he believes, but has taken a hands-off approach with him, hoping that someday he will become a better pony, and maybe find his way back to her. She truly loves him, and is sorry for being such a negligent, absent-minded parent.....but Chakra never sticks around long enough for Treehugger to articulate this. Sigh.

Treehugger is short, with a stocky, classic Earth pony build. Sometimes she sits and meditates for so long that moss grows in her fur, and Treezy is 110% okay with this. She is quite talented at playing the sitar, and used to enjoy long musical jam sessions with her son before he left. She misses this bonding quite a lot.....and Chakra does too, not that he'd ever admit it. I always imagine them playing this song together (yay for shameless Recess reference: www.youtube.com/watch?v=CGTATk… )

Treehugger has loved many ponies throughout her life. Though she claims nature is her one true love, she seems to have something going on with a certain Limestone Pie.....

Zesty Gourmand (Madame Alsesta Grandeur)

Legendary chef and feared food critic. Writing under a pen name, "Zesty's" often scathing restaurant reviews are held in high regard in Canterlot, and a visit by this critic is enough to have any chef trembling in their apron. Zesty comes armed with a perfect palate, an extraordinary knowledge of cuisine, and eyes that never miss imperfections. However, she has mellowed out a little since her debut episode-following later discussions with Rarity and Saffron Masala, Zesty has concluded that perhaps the standards that dictate gourmet cuisine are not universal, and that perhaps....taste is subjective? Hmm. In any case, she's definitely writing down that you were fifty-three seconds late getting her entree out to her, and that it's got the texture of a burnt tire. You dare call yourself a chef?.....Where's the bloody lamb sauce?

Cuppa Joe cannot stand Zesty, or her consistent bad reviews of his coffee and cooking (she says it's all too fatty and dense, Joe argues that cookies need butter and coffee needs cream, you'd know that if you had an ounce of joy in your heart, dusty old crone!). Joe has an uncanny ability to sense when the hag is in his coffee shop, and always then orders his baristas to double up flavor on all store items, so the withered food-bitch will hopefully choke on it. Joe once beat mighty chef Alsesta in a baking competition, and he considers it his greatest achievement in life. Of course, face to face, he's never anything but warm to Zesty, hiding his loathing behind a very strained smile.

Zesty is happily married to fellow senior artist, Foto Finish (Franzbrötchen), and lives a comfortable life in Canterlot. Her odd appearance is due to no small amount of donkey blood in her family tree, technically making Zesty a mule. Canterlot is a city that favors pure-blooded unicorns from nobility, making Zesty's success quite remarkable.
