I kinda have a soft spot for battle rifles. I guess it's sort of a root-for-the-underdog type thing since they aren't used as much anymore. Nice concept mate.

Yeah I kinda agree, but the G36 is kinda a battle rifle for the modern age it's probably as accurate as older guns like this and the M14 and is a fitting decendent of the old G3, which many people arround the world still use, due to it's 7.62mm round. The main weaknesses of battle rifles like the G3 and the M14 (well, except for the Mk.14 and the Mk.14 mods 0 and 1) are that their too big, two long, two heavy, arn't customizable enough (scopes, grenade launchers, ect), and they normally only have 20 round magazines...
Though many people still prefer to use them which is why upgraded modals like the Mk.14's exist. ^.=.^

Yeah, with Mk 14s you can put pretty much any attachment that an M16 can have on it and its pretty light from what I've researched (or at least for a Battle Rifle).
