Description

One of two pieces I had worked on between volunteering for a local comic convention, during downtime and such. Txikia is a character who I have wanted to write about for half a year now, and was actually a strange idea I had during gardening; she was supposed to be a stranger take on werewolf legends with a bizarre twist. Suffice to say, it ended up being far more morbid and bizarre than I could reasonably conceive of, so I scrapped the idea and tried toning the character down into something more reasonable.

The end result is a character who is a strange yet cute, with all manner of mutations and body parts that make life more challenging for a typical young adult. Learning to accept and utilize her new body would be a coming of age story with wacky hijinks aplenty. The main goal was to blend multiple disparate parts from other animals into something that looks plausible for a chimera, with feline facial features, large mismatched teeth, and mandibles that act like mini tusks; the character was not meant to be horrific, but an uncanny mix of unsettling and cute.
