Description

The Arcadian Blue Buck is a species of large antelope that inhabits the grasslands of Arcadia. Though they are not as fast as their gazelle relatives, they more than makeup for it with strength and tenacity. In terms of raw power and size, they are comparable to an Indian Buffalo (Gaur).

Their name comes from the bluish fur that covers their back. This fur has some reflective properties. Though circumstantial, scholars theorize that this is a defense mechanism against aerial predators such as wyverns and griffins: at the right angle and in sunny weather, the fur might reflect just enough light to blind the incoming predators and either detour it or give the antelope a chance to run away.

They are not very likely to attack humans when not provoked. Unless they feel threatened or have hostile actions taken against them, they are more likely to just ignore any person that gets close to them... still, it is recommended not to approach them (Milo Crann is a professional and he knows what he's doing).
