Description I felt like, after almost 2 years, this beast here needed a slight re-vamp and an addendum to its description.

The Crowned NeobehemothΒ is a massive species of herbivorous mammal that roams the open grasslands of the continent of Arcadia. These beasts evolved from smaller, grazing animals that over millions of years replaced the now-extinct "True Behemoths". Animals in this family are known to be fairly large, covered in armor, and possess impressive sets of horns that serve them both as display structures as well as weapons against predators.
The uniquely energy-rich flora found on the Arcadian Continent is the sole reason for which these creatures can attain such colossal sizes. Due to them being so big (often weighing more than 100 tons) the only predators that the Neobehemoth needs to fear, are fully grown, adult True Dragons, and even they think twice before tackling a beast of such magnitude.

Both males and females of the species reach the same size threshold o between 90 and 100 tons, though males have significantly more prominent horns. The longer and spikier the horns, the more appealing they are to the females; they in turn possess shorter but sturdier horns that create a sort of frill around the back of their heads.
The same energy-rich flora that allows the Neobehemoths to reach their massive sizes also has an effect on their gestation. It takes around 24 months for the fetus to become a fully-formed baby. Newborn Crowned Neobehemoths are roughly the size of an elephant and do not have horns of sturdy armor; that comes with age. It takes them 3 years to become large enough and armored enough to be safe from most predators, by then doubling in length, width, and height.

About a year into the young's life, their mother will mate once again, gestating her new baby for the remaining time it takes her previous offspring to grow big and strong. Shortly before the new baby is born, the female will travel with her current offspring to a gathering spot where other females congregate in order to give birth AND to fend off their older children. Those youngsters then form small herds in which they remain for mutual protection for the next 10 years or so.
By 13 years of age, the young Neobehemoths become only slightly smaller than the adults and they begin to lead a solitary lifestyle. It takes them another 3 years before they are fully grown and ready to breed.
