No longer do I get to see thee.
You don't remain to speak with me,
Like a whisper on wind, you've flown away.
With you now gone,
My mind became a cluttered mess.
Once you helped me understand
My thoughts and feelings, but no more
No longer are you there,
By my side, to steady me should I falter,
Or comfort me when I pain,
To understand me more than I, myself.
If that's your choice, I'll understand.
With longing and despair, I cease pursuit.
I'm too confused, naive, to gain your love,
But with your indulgence, I'd like a friend.
And friend I'll be, for all of time,
Should that be your desire,
But I beg that you remember, always,
