Description Richard A. Knaak is, in my oppinion, one of the worst things to EVER happen to Warcraft lore. He does nothing but pump up his pet characters and beat down Metzen's well established legends (and you can't deny he looks like Hitler).

In order to make his two little favourites, Krasus and Rhonin (*gag*), seem even more hench than he already had, he created the Dragon Aspects, the titan-infused leaders of the five dragonflights.

Though the dragon aspects go against the overall point of Warcraft III (which Medivh so rightly speaks), that the fate of Azeroth will (or did) always reside in the hands of the people, the mere mortals, the level 30 Orc Warriors such as yourselves, I felt that they were a sound idea in themselves and perhaps one of his very few good creations.

It is known that dragons can appear in mortal forms so I thought it'd be cool to depict how the dragon aspects themselves would look in a mortal guise.

These pictures were made with the rather handy (and at the moment, extremely volatile and unstable) WoW Model Viewer. I apologise for several noteable flaws and I'll be re-uploading the pictures when WMV is properly functioning again.

This one is Ysera the Dreamer, ruler of the Green dragonflight and protector of the emerald dream.

---EDIT---
The New Model Viewer has allowed me to create all of my WoW Character pictures to the best of my abilities without any hinders from bugs and gliches...so...enjoy!

Orederan is right about the idea of the dragon aspects coming from WC 2. However I do agree with you on Dick Knaak's tendency to create Mary Sue characters that he will then proceed make them overpowered. I personally do like Krasus because if anything he gets his asskicked so often. Rhonin however is a freaking checklist for a Gary Stu. Foreign word for a name for the sole purpose of looking cool? Check. Excedingly powerful? Check. Is a rebel against higher authority? Check.

Well to be fair, I was rather overzealous with my dislike of Knaak. I still hold the opinion that he believes any poor narrative can be solved with a dragon and it is still customary for me to /spit on Rhonin whenever I pass him in Dalaran but since my faith in Warcraft lore in general has all but diminished, his contributions no longer make any difference to the series' already hindered lore.

True. Kinda hard to hate on Knaak while Illidan and Arthas have had their characters skewed so hard as to be almost unrecognizable. Especially poor, poor Illidan. And Arths's death as a freaking lewt pinata.

Well actually, I agreed with the idea of killing Illidan off. When you look at his character, such a lowly end seemed almost fitting. His claims to power were grandiose and throughout his life, has been nothing more than a suck-up to greater powers.
As for Arthas, again, his death did have to come sooner or later though not at the hand of Tirion, I thought. I'd rather it was someone of established worth...

The biggest Blizzard lore back-flipping would be Kael'thas Sunstrider. The Kael from Warcraft III would NEVER use the Sunwell to bring Kil'Jaeden in to the world.

Problem about the dragon aspects : Deathwing exist in Warcraft II campaign to fight the dragon queen, Alextrasza. Knaak only developped the idea of really powerful Dragons.
About the picture, I think it's typically how Ysera could be in the game.

Metzen wouldn't have let Knaak alter the lore if he didn't want him too. As stated in the Introduction of Day of the Dragon, they BOTH made the Aspects into what they are.

On main note, nice depiction!

At either rate, I personally disagree with Knaak's works.

They should use this for when they actually include Ysera in something OTHER then the sleepy dragon in the Emerald Dragonshire.

And I have a quick question, I use Model Viewer as well, but when I installed WotLK, the viewer broke >< But I just want to ask which new viewer are you useing.

It's a sort of 'rototype' one developed by a fan named Dr00d on the wowmodelviewer.org forums, you can find the thread for the download under the 'announcements' forum board.

Sorry for all of the questions but, I tried getting into the forums and it asked me for a password and username, what is that for? And if it's for a forum thing, how do I register?

it appears the forums are playing about at the moment, I tried to get on there the other day to see if the version had been up dated and had little luck.
