I know. She's actually quite a relatable character to me. A lo of people call me a 'Bimbo' and an 'Airhead' because I'm blonde, when actually, I'm just trying to be helpful. A whole bunch of people think I'm like that, but when you get to know me, I'm not.

Well I'm not blonde, but I think I know what you're talking about.

In real life, I'm what you might call a "pretty boy". People make two common mistakes about me because of my appearance: The first being that they think I'm a girl. The second being that they think I'm gay. Because the outside is always a reflection of the inside, right? Ugh.

I don't relate or want to identify with typically masculine characters like Solid Snake or Kratos. I find myself being drawn more towards characters like Zidane Tribal or Cat Noir. Not coincidentally, those same mistakes that people make with me are made with characters that I like, including the ones I mentioned.

Well she's not the biggest offender of bad female character design. I mean yeah, she's a pretty sexualized character through things like her appearance and the obnoxious fan service, but she's not just a piece of meat either. She has skills for survival, her own outer and inner life, goals for the future, and she's not necessarily an extension of a male character.

For me is truly underestimated. I hope they can make a better role for her in future chapters of the manga.

Thanks. You know, I feel good when I search for Shizuka Marikawa in dA and I see my picture in the list. This is one of those pictures that I'm going to like for a good while. The only thing I would do for this picture is maybe color it and give it a background. I'm picturing a wide-lens shot or something...
