Biology: Ivy Rose is a unique and probably one of the most dangerous of all Mutation classed titans. She was created around twenty years ago by an unknown botanist who experiments with creating new species of plant life in response to climate change. Her DNA is a gruesome mix of plant and animal. ATS genetics scientists have discovered that her DNA is that of a rose, a local form of ivy, a Venus fly trap and that of a snake. Ivy Rose’s physical structures resemble that of a large plant, but it is easy to see the animal parts of this ravenous monster. On her central and secondary heads, the signs of eye spots are seen. These “eyes” can see in heat, which helps her find her warm blooded prey very easily. Also, her bark like scales are in fact fire proof, and most fire based weapons do little against it. Plus, Ivy Rose’s secondary heads have secondary mouths, which are used to eat small prey. Thus, Ivy Rose’s diet is carnivorous and eats warm-blooded animals.
Ivy Rose is an interesting titan because even though the first one was killed in Borneo, other Ivy Rose’s have appeared all over the world. This is due to the fact of Ivy Rose’s life cycle. When one of the fully grown flowers are destroyed, the head will rupture and release hundreds of pods into the air, high enough that they get caught in the jet stream. They stay airborne until either wind shift or something knocks it off balance. Then the pod will crash down to earth, the heat of its arrival causing the mutation of the plant to activate. Upon landing, they will stay in the pod until sunlight triggers the final stages of their mutation. Then the plant will bloom and go hunting for any warm blooded life forms. Once it eats its fill and reaches its full size, the plant will stay like it till it starts to bloom into more Ivy Roses. If an Ivy Rose though is killed, the head will rupture and release more seeds. Because of this, it is recommended to use ice based weaponry to prevent it from doing this.
Ivy Rose also uses a special type of sap, which allows it to put prey into a sort of hibernation till consumption. This highly sticky sap is only known to be dissolved by salt water.
History: Ivy Rose’s history starts sometime in the early 80s, when a Russian scientist named Professor Yvi Esor disappeared to his secret laboratory somewhere in the dense jungles of Borneo. He left the scientific in fear of Global Warming and sought to create a species of plant that could adapt to the climate and change, saving the flora of the earth. His words were forgotten as technologies were starting to become of scientific interest. When the Titan Wars came and ATS was founded, their first mission was to investigate strange reports in Borneo of a “living vine” that was killing livestock, animals, and maybe people. As they ventured into the jungle, they discovered an abandoned laboratory, overgrown by plant life. There, they found the records of Professor Yvi and his creation he called, Ivy Rose. There, the giant plant attacked the team and almost killed them all till the titan known as Platypus appeared. Here, the mighty plant and animal clashed until Platypus bit off the head of the serpent plant. There, Ivy Rose erupted and sent her spores into the sky.
Ivy Rose is a key titan in the war and has caused much damage. It is highly feared and during the Exodus, the Extraterrestrials managed to control some of the seeds for their invasion. And during the Revelations, the Ivy Rose started to appear less frequently, but the threat was still high of this floranimals.
Personality: Wild and vicious, Ivy Rose hunts for the purpose of total control of the environment. Ivy Rose has a mad will to hunt down all none floranimals.
Powers/Abilities:
~Powerful Jaws ~Able to shoot out a sticky sap from mouths ~Bark is fire proof
~Able to use petals to protect main head ~Barbs on main roots have powerful nuero-toxin
Weakness: Salt water and cold temperatures are its only weaknesses
