With rundown swings.
With childhood thoughts,
And heartfelt dreams.

For me it’s where,
everything happened.
And the furthest,
From where it did.

Conflicted emotion,
Returning in a slow spin.
Spiraling down,
The slide where we sat.

I sit here and watch,
My memories caught.
On the night of,
Our first kiss.

The house across the street,
Where we laughed at defeat.
The room where we sat,
Sharing days of fun.

The road across the way,
Long ago on that day.
When our worlds flipped over,
And you left without a word.

So many sat with me,
Here in this park.
But now I sit alone,
Waiting for dark.
