Welcome to my second ADColor entry, The House of Nobleheart. The original piece was an ink commission for me done by the marvelous -
This was a fun, rewarding and time consuming endeavor to color this baby in and do it without making a mockery of Sho's awesome art style nor sell myself short with subpar skills.

The story goes that Nobleheart, one called Arturas Ursan, is the Lord of the Silvestrian Throne after the death of King Tabbias many years past. Leader of an unrivaled mercenary army, Arturas had a "brother" rivalry with the late king where he was the "Warrior of the Earth", possessor of the Terra Breaker, and Tabbias was the "Warrior of the Sky", possessor of the Legendary Axes, Shock and Awe. Both men were under the fatherly leadership of the Patriarch, Head of the Grande Alliancia. After a great war campaign against a vast army from the Northwest Borderlands, in which both Arturus and Tabbias worked together and did a combination attack called the "Terran Sky Crush", the Patriarch became concerned about their unity. In order to divide then neutralized them, he concocted rumors of a coup by King Tabbias and had Arturas go prevent it since Arturas never questions his "Father".

The two strong and proud warriors would meet in battle after many days and lost of men from both camps. The fight was epic with neither men gaining or giving ground to the other, lasting for days. It would come to an end when Arturas does moves that were a blend of his rugged Terran Skills and Tabbias' Sky Skills, leading to the King's downfall. On his deathbed, King Tabbias shared both his dreams and fears of this day that "the Earth and the Sky" will come together and usher an new day for all of the lands of Jupoken, but not before a time of chaos. He also shared that the Kingdom of Silvestra will not fall so long as his blood remains in this world. As a request, the dying king asked that his "brother" Arturas would take care of his beloved daughters, Lavender Snow and Tabitha Embers, and be their earthly father. This moment with his "brother", now dying before him due to his death strike, had him beginning to question both his "Father's" Will and Benevolence.

It was at this point that both girls would come to the battlefield and take claim to their dead father's Legendary Axes. Lavender and Tabitha, both having a duty to their father and their kingdom, stood before their "uncle" and told him that as much as love him, even though he killed their father, they can't let Silvestra fall. Arturas, with his heart torn by this chain of event, surrenders to the girls and calls for his men to return home without him. Of course, his mercenaries will not leave without him as their allegiance is to the Great Ursan, Arturas and no one else. It was at this point that Arturas renounced his name, since he was named by the Patriarch, and leave his fate to the future Queens of Silvestra.

Lavender and Tabitha declared that the nameless warrior would first be named "Nobleheart" from the combination of "...being so 'noble'" in the eyes of Tabitha and of "...being so full of 'heart'" in Lavender's eyes. Secondly, "Nobleheart" will honor their father's request and become their earthly father...guiding, protecting and loving them for as long as he lives. And lastly, due to them not being of age to be Silvestra's unquestioned Queens, "Nobleheart" will be made "Lord" of the Silvestrian Throne and rule the kingdom as atonement for his crime of killing the late King Tabbias.

And it would be many years later that Silvestra, long since severed its ties to the Grande Alliancia, has grown into a kingdom with such might that it truly threatens Jupoken's world order with the mantra of "the Unity of Earth and Sky".
