to those who bash the red underwear look, remember this: superhero costumes are supposed to be flashy and theatrical, and the trunks on both batman and superman are to present their suits color balance and a subliminal sense of strength due to the design originating off of what strongmen in the past and present wear to protect their vital regions. removing the trunks makes him look like less of a superhero and more of sorcerer like doctor strange or even a villain like his evil twin ultraman who never wore trunks for that very reason. and it becomes more evident when removing the garmet after being on for so long only ends up with re-design after re-design in trying to compensate for a fix that was never broken to begin with.

Well, I'm glad to know you support the trunks. Many professional critics also praise the decision, even if it's just a way to celebrate Superman's anniversary.

Not really big on the underwear, it looks ridiculous. And the fact that everyone has a more modernized look makes him look even more ridiculous!!!
