I think it's time to start catching up by showing you my latest work in the past two years or so. I have been working on my "Empire of the Sun" series since I fell in love with the movie and let's just say became obsessed...as you will see...So this is a very tense scene from the movie, which those who have seen it might recognize. Our hero of the story, Jim Graham, age 15, is setting a trap outside the perimeter of a Japanese internment camp for pheasant. The year is 1945 in Suzhou, China, at the dawn of liberation day soon to come. You can see the sergeant of the camp who suspects a prisoner might have escaped...

I love the shadow of the sergeant in the background! It's really nice and subtle~
And I find myself drawn to Jim's hair too~ So spiky and fluffy at the same time 8D

why thank you Amilia, ya the sergeant adds a sense of being hunted and I was quite drawn to Jim's hair as well. I tried my best to capture its soft appeal
