But, the most interesting thing happened with these three modifications, when, thanks to the efforts of domestic design engineers, it was possible to successfully adapt (with a corresponding increase in the transmission) and squeeze a powerful 150-horsepower Renault engine into a slightly increased MO and introduce a more dynamic suspension (quite logically similar in designs with the Czech "Skoda-2" and the Italian M-15).

Thanks to such a significant increase, all three models actually merged into one design again and now differed from each other only in the level of armor protection and gear ratios in final drives, which significantly simplified the life of manufacturers.

Linear tank T-2M2. Thanks to the 150-horsepower engine and reinforced suspension (due to which the tank became slightly longer and the engine compartment significantly higher), on its 1.5-inch (38.1 mm) frontal armor, as well as 1-inch (25, 4 mm) side armor, it became possible to install additional 1/3 inch (8.46 mm) screens. Additional armored gas tanks on the overwing shelves were also protected by box armor of the same thickness (8.46 mm). The tower has become a little more and a little lower. And instead of 20 mm AP, the tank received a much more powerful new 1-inch (25.4 mm) automatic gun. At the same time, the mass of the tank increased to almost 14 tons, and the speed grew only to 33 km / h.
