That's hardly surprising, is it? Forestwalk and islandwalk are easy, with dryads for one and swimming things for the other. For plainswalk it's more like "congratulations, you have legs".

To Expand upon my basic statement, the more wordy version.
Rebuttal: The Raptors from 'The Lost World: Jurassic Park', when they were in the "long grass".
Thats what I think of when I think of Plainswalk.
POWER TO THE PLAINSWALK!!!!
Does that make my arguement sound better? ----Or should I point out the scene in 'GoldenEye' where, after escaping the exploding enemy base, 007 & Natalya start making out in an open field until the American CIA agent(Wade) interrupts them to see if their alright. He then calls out to his Marine team to move out, and all around them the inconspicous seeming clumps of grass(shrubbery, NI) stand up and reveal that the marines were there the WHOLE TIME.----
Considering modern day soldiers, train to sneak up on people in open fields & Lions on the Savanah regularly sneak, in large groups, up on their prey I consider Plainswalk to be under-represented in game.
Even if you don't necessarily think that Plainswalk is needed more often in sets, You should at least agree that only 6 cards with Plainswalk, total, in the 15yr+ History of MtG, is lacking. Especially if you compare the number of cards that deal with/have the other landwalk abilities.
the basic lands The Snow versions plus Snow-landwalk,
Non-basic landwalk,
Even, LEGENDARY LANDWALK, For Crying Out Loud.

This doesn't feel very rare to me. Feels to me like shroud would fit better for the ability, or just unblockability, because that's basically what you're giving him, but in a way that feels really, really roudabout to me.
