Description
God of kingship and the sky, Horus is the son of Osiris and Isis and nephew of his arch enemy Set. After Set murdered his father Osiris, Isis managed to resurrect her husband long enough to conceive a son to avenge him. Horus grew up and challenged Set for both revenge and his father's throne Set now sat on, for 80 years the two waged war on each other with Horus losing an eye in one battle and at one point decapitating his own mother for pleading with him to show mercy to his uncle and not become him (she got better). Ultimately Horus emerged victorious and claimed his rightful place as Osiris' heir, banishing Set to the barren desert and reconciling with his mother.

His symbol is the iconic Eye of Horus and he is associated with the falcon which he is usually depicted having the head of.
