I would say this is charcoal but I actually did these by dipping a bamboo skewer into a candle flame and drawing with the burnt (and sometimes burning) end. The first one I did is the bottom right, the top two were done the same day, and the bottom left was the last one which I did today and is the date I marked down with my signature.

Drawing like this gives me some freedom that I don't otherwise feel I have when drawing, because if I mess up it doesn't matter because I am just drawing with a burning stick. It's a really nice way to do concept art for characters I think. And I may use some of these as part of the sketch for later digital pieces.

Anyway a bunch of dragon busts! I really love them I hope you guys like them too.
