The Witching HourI woke up drenched in moonlight.
I know my hour is here.
I feel it in my blood-
the calling draws me near.
I hear it in the wind
that carries chants of old,
secrets of our ancient craft
never to be told.
I shall dress in fire,
walk on fragrant earth,
dance over bonfires,
witnessing the birth
of the magic hour
gladdening my heart.
'Tis the Witching Hour,
'tis the night's soft Dark
lying at my bare feet
ready to obey:
-Take me to my calling!
and it leads the way
to our magic circle,
a ring that can't be undone,
a secret song we break off
at first light of the sun.
If you are a mortal
and you see our dance,
I'll spellbind you away
cradled in deep trance
to wake up the next morning
somewhere safe and sound
-for it is not true what they say,
to no harm you'll be bound-
Only one charm will hold you
-for that I am not to blame-
Your soul will be always longing
to hold my veil of flame...

Great rhymn.. plus the topic lends itself to cool dark and creepy feeling. No matter how trendy or popular movemnts like Wicka, or other belief systems become there is still the sense of the forbiden and the joy that come from that. This poem captures wel the beuity and power of magic and the inner power a person gains from it.
I don't know about the Ninga comment though
You get the most "witchy" ... is there is such a word... elements right on.. Love of the earth, the fire, and power of creation, birth.
