Here's my entry for 's contest. (Yep, another one! I've been stacking things for a while. I'm less active but I'm actually art-ing pretty hard lately!)

I wanted to make some fanart, so I saw the contest and I said "why not?". And since I was at it, I decided to keep practicing with digital coloring. AND I also managed to do something in time for #MerMay ! Three birds with one stone, haha.
Of course, I couldn't just draw Ariel or some random mermaid in the background of the movie. I had to draw the QUEEN of the Sea!
My beautiful and adored Ursula. She's one of my favourite Disney villains! I had to tribute her in some way!
I've been experimenting with the coloring. I wanted to try a style I really enjoyed in old 2D pc games, I don't know if you have an idea of what I'm referring to. Something like the style in Day of the Tentacle .
Anyway. Still trying to improve! Hope you'll like it!
Don't worry, I'll return to traditional art with the next update.

Oow! Love Ursala's creepy grin and the eerie lighting. The contrasting purples and greens. Even though it's MerMay, this feels like Halloween.

The color palette is Halloween-ish, but I couldn't do otherwise... those are the colors of evilness. XD

Beautiful work, just stunning! I was hoping we'd get an Ursula. I love the strong pose and powerful lighting. It all looks so great! I especially love how you've handled her face, it looks awesome!

OMG, I thought this was traditional at first! This is so amazing!! I love how the yellows and greens contrast against the purple background, and of course, Ursula looks as dastardly as ever. Again, fantastic work!!
