I did that for a contest that i can't win because i live in quebec.... man that SUCKS!

anyway....

Riot Games, creator of League of Legends posted a contest to make something out of food that was LoL oriented and so i did cupcakes

All cupcakes are made from vanilla cake with vanilla icing.

Since a few people asked here is a little "how to" for the little guys.

here is a list of what you need:

- toothpicks (for drawing the faces)
- marzipan (white one is hard to find, for the little shaco I actually used fondant, you can either make yours ([link]) or buy it in specialized shops, I got mine from a pastry chef I know)
- food coloring

Keep in mind that marzipan tastes a lot better then fondant, if you can find white marzipan it would deff be the best option. You can buy regular marzipan in most groceries, but it's normal color is kindoff beige.
Once you have the ingredients, it's basically just a matter of sculpting it in the shape you want. Marzipan will keep it's shape very nicelly and harden after a little while if you leave it at room temperature.
Fondant is a lot softer and harder to sculpt, it's fine for simple shapes, but as you can see with my shaco the ball isnt as round as the other ones because of that.

Plan in advance what you want to do, so that you know how much of each color you need. Don't put too much coloring in your mix, start with a bit and increase until you reach the color you want, it's easier to add then remove Also, if you want true colors like deep red and other things you might need real food coloring (not the cheap stuff you get in groceries) or else you'll almost always end up with a shade of pink. You can also buy colored marzipan in some places.

Don't hesitate to ask if you have any other questions

Creating the lil heroes took around 3 hours, and the cupcakes took a lil less then 2 hours, so around 5h total for the whole set.
