Cyber-steam-punk deer-furry? AWESOME combination of genres!
Oh, and amazing job, especially on the mechanical parts.

Heh thanks! They were a bit nutty to color but it was nice to practice some texturing.

Thanks! I'll be sure to let the line-artist know. That and remind him they were a beast to color. XD

Wow. Just how do you make such a nice gradient effect on the backdrop with traditional means?

Ah that part was actually done with some digital magic. I can do gradients like that in marker, but in this case I felt it was silly to use that much ink and risk ruining the picture. So instead I drafted a smaller gradient with my markers, scanned it for the palette, and painted in the gradient with SAI.

It looks very nice nonetheless. Why kill your markers when you can make it look this flawless?

Oooh! Very cool. Sometimes I have a hard time believing these are done with markers, you're very good at it.

How do you know? Maybe my house is made of clockwork, glowing pipes, and there's a 40' tall Kaneshia sitting on it.

What's funny about the 40 foot Kaneshia was I did try a artwork in this pose showing her as a 80 foot giant Doe in a swimming pool taking a bath. The idea was based off of a scene in the 1990's Attack of the 50 Foot Woman.

I like the coloring of it how long did it take to draw it?

It wasn't as long as coloring Windswept, but the intricacy of all the mechanical bits and the textures took a while... maybe 8-13 hours total? Its hard to be sure

I would be worried about messing up on drawing something that complex in that it looked really hard to tell where one line began and where one ended on it.

XD;;;; To be honest after getting all of the machinery done I was terrified something would go wrong with Kaneshia and I'd have to start all over. Markers are not a forgiving medium.
