Had some technical difficulties with my markers, but finished this last night.
So a portrait of my dragonsona, who has taken the time to be a trellis for some Ipomoea tricolor. (Morning glory) This is a somewhat personal piece for me; back in college I studied a good chunk of botany as an upper classman and really loved it. Naturally there was a project to grow a particular flower and study it fairly intensely as it did so, and I chose morning glories. So here's a tribute to them, and their absurdly fast growing ways.

Your eye for detail on the morning glory is insane! Especially with how it curls around her awesome horns (or antlers).

^////^ Thanks! You could call 'em either tbh; they come off of the skull like a horn but are definitely shaped more like what you'd expect from antlers. (But since she doesn't shed them I think technically they'd be horns.)

Ahaha always. ;; It really hates reds and yellows, and though I've found ways to compensate its on the hit list of things to replace/improve.

Hopefully you can get a machine that isn't to costly and also approves of those colors. I would like to ask how you compensate it though :S Photoshop it afterwards?

I do some touch ups and adjustment in PaintTool SAI and Irfanview.

Beautiful blends and color choices, and the morning glories look simply fantastic~
I love the mood of this piece, it makes one sigh with a kind of happiness for simple beauty in the growing vines.

^////^ Thanks much! I was always truck by how energetic the morning glory vines I grew were, but how much of a sense of tranquility they always gave me. It helped me get through a really stressful last quarter of college.
