Trying to draw peaceful-almost-smiling Thorin was a strange experience for me x)
He's supposed to hold the key to Erebor in his hand btw, but I couldn't make it look obvious because it looked kinda awkward when I tried to draw the key showing.
Watercolor + copic markers + photoshop

Not at all, I drew it as a gift for a friend and don't have the original anymore to make a high-resolution scan (the picture you see in my gallery is actually a photo of the painting that I cleaned up in photoshop), plus it was drawn on a half A4 sized paper so it's not very big to begin with.
I might try to ask my friend to scan it for me and see if the scan will turn out good enough to make a print (:

It's not too colorful, like a rainbow, but it's not bland and plain, like a white cloud. But this is certainly as graceful and wispy as one; a cloud.
You are certainly skilled with not JUST your way of drawing, but your color choices as well.
